Nature of Coaching Services

The services provided by TRANSCEND tabu, LLC and Seimei Hanayama are life coaching and facilitation services designed to support personal and professional development. These services are NOT a substitute for professional mental health counseling, medical care, legal advice, or financial guidance.

What Coaching Is

Life coaching is a professional partnership that:

  • Supports clients in achieving personal and professional goals

  • Provides accountability, encouragement, and strategic planning

  • Helps clients identify strengths, values, and authentic pathways forward

  • Facilitates self-discovery and personal growth through structured conversations

  • Focuses on present circumstances and future possibilities

What Coaching Is NOT

Mental Health Services

  • Life coaching is not psychotherapy, counseling, or mental health treatment

  • We do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions

  • We do not provide crisis intervention or emergency mental health services

  • Clients experiencing mental health crises should contact appropriate emergency services or mental health professionals

Medical Services

  • We do not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment

  • We do not recommend medications or medical procedures

  • Clients should consult qualified medical professionals for health-related concerns

Legal or Financial Services

  • We do not provide legal advice or representation

  • We do not offer financial planning or investment advice

  • Clients should consult appropriate licensed professionals for legal or financial matters

Professional Qualifications

Seimei Hanayama holds the following credentials:

  • Certified Life Coach (LUMIA Coaching)

  • Certified Peer Support Professional (Indiana Division of Mental Health)

  • Additional specialized training in trauma-informed care and LGBTQ+ advocacy

These credentials qualify Seimei to provide life coaching and peer support services within their defined scope of practice.

Client Responsibility

Clients are responsible for:

  • Their own decisions, actions, and results

  • Being honest about their current circumstances and goals

  • Actively participating in the coaching process

  • Seeking appropriate professional help when needs exceed coaching scope

  • Maintaining their own physical and mental health care

No Guaranteed Results

While we are committed to providing high-quality coaching services:

  • Specific outcomes or results cannot be guaranteed

  • Success depends on multiple factors including client commitment and circumstances

  • Individual results may vary significantly

  • Coaching effectiveness depends on active client participation

Referral Practice

When client needs exceed our scope of practice, we provide referrals to qualified professionals including:

  • Licensed mental health counselors and therapists

  • Medical professionals

  • Legal professionals

  • Financial advisors

  • Other specialized service providers

Emergency Situations

If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or crisis:

  • Call 911 immediately

  • Contact the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: 988

  • Go to your nearest emergency room

  • Contact your mental health provider or physician

Do not rely on coaching services for emergency situations.
